Pre-Construction Services
- Our team can meet with our customers and the project's design team as needed to help work out a feasible project design that best meets your needs.
- We are capable of providing a preliminary construction schedule utilizing reliable software and the knowledge of construction from our project management team.
- Prepare preliminary estimate upon completion of developmental design
- Consult with major subcontractors as to design, cost and schedule feasibility
- Provide value engineering or alternative solutions based upon experience and feedback from subcontractors during collaboration.
- Make recommendations to expedite long lead items so as not to delay the construction work
- Conduct pre-construction conference as soon as possible prior to construction commencement.
Construction Phase
- Project Management staff is involved throughout the pre-construction process and throughout the duration of the construction and project closeout.
- We assign a full time superintendent to run our projects on site and we provide adequate on site help to assist the superintendent.
- Maintaining a safe work site for construction personnel, the project design team, for our customers and any additional staff members, is a high priority. Our Superintendent will be responsible for insuring subcontractors comply with safety regulations.
- Jobsite construction meetings with the architect, owner, superintendent, project manager and principles of Arc Valley shall be scheduled as necessary to properly coordinate the project.
- Construction schedule to be reviewed and updated weekly. Arc Valley uses up to date scheduling software and past construction experiences to develop a critical path to schedule projects. The schedule is distributed to the owner, architect and subcontractors. Arc Valley has consistently completes their projects on time or ahead of schedule.
- Daily progress reports are also maintained throughout our projects. Our Project Manager works to expedite submittal of shop drawings and maintain a submittal log so as not to delay project, particularly on long lead items. Project Manager to maintain job site records. We also use project management software for document control. This software allows us to accurately track submittals, ASI's, RFI's and change orders in a manner that is easily accessible for our office staff. We strive for good communication and coordination with customers and architects.
- Our superintendent lays out the work and ensures that our subcontractor work is in accordance with the contract documents. The superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling and coordinating the work with subcontractors. Arc Valley's principles are to be notified immediately of any problems or issues that would impact construction schedule or quality of the work performed. The superintendent is to make sure work conforms to project specifications and drawings and verify that nonconforming work is corrected.
Safety
At Arc Valley we pride ourselves in the safe environment not only for our employees and sub contractors, but for our customers and the community we are working in.
- We communicate to our employees and sub contractors through weekly and monthly safety meetings the importance of staying vigilant when at a sit to look for things that may seem out of place whether it is a vehicle, person or package. All employees are to immediately report this to the job superintendent so that it can be addressed at the time.
- The policy of a drug and alcohol free workplace is set. Allowing no exceptions to this policy while on our sites and any employee or sub contractor found violating this policy will be immediately removed from the site and disciplinary actions will be made.
- Safety is a main priority on site. All superintendents and employees have the knowledge and continuous training to make sure jobsites are safe, along with safety site visits.
